Why We Do This...

Shannon Couch, Fibromyalgia patient, founder of Infinity BathTea ProductsThe Infinity BathTea System came about as a result of health issues suffered by the founder of the company, Shannon Couch. For 15 years, Shannon suffered the varying symptoms of Fibromyalgia Syndrome. After having radical colon surgery, leaving two careers behind, and trying every medication and/or diet recommended without much improvement, she realized that she needed a symbiosis between east and west, between prescriptions and herbs. For over a decade, she suffered horrible headaches, arthritic symptoms, tender spots, TMJ and throat pain, Restless Leg Syndrome and depression.  The end of her rope finally came when she couldnt get out of bed.

“Every day, I just fell into the bed by 4 p.m., aching all over, and lay in a fetal position long after my tender spots hurt just to lay there, too tired to turn over, breathing an incredibly shallow breath, unable to get up even to have dinner with my family.  I knew something had to change.  I couldnt go on like that anymore.

Shannon decided to try a transdermal application of the many medicinal herbal teas available in order to alleviate the effects of her colonectomy and make the most of the largest organ in the body her skin.  She knew that hydrotherapy was the least invasive, most effective therapy she d found for relief of her symptoms.  Utilizing herbal knowledge gained over a decade, she developed a bath soak full of all the things that she had found made her feel better.

Today, she divides her time between a lake house in Texas and QuerenciaTaos, a mountain retreat in New Mexico. She takes 75% less prescription medications and feels 200% better. I sleep better and feel better all day long.  Sure, I still have FMS episodes, but most days, I enjoy water skiing, snow skiing, white water rafting, Pilates, and just life in general. In 2006, after 7 years of making her products for herself and friends, she found a small, family-owned laboratory to work with, and took her personal regimen to the next level, making her system available to the general public.
